2020 Fast Track To Success

The Fast Track to Success Project is the fourth annual conference on innovation in higher education. This conference will provide a forum for sharing lessons-learned, strategies, outlooks, data, pedagogy, and design elements of competency-based education and other innovative models at all levels of instruction and learning in higher education. This event is free and offered in a virtual format this year.

D2L Fusion 2020 | Heroes Unite

D2L Fusion 2020

This year's D2L conference will be a new virtual program allowing for over 18 days of collaboration spread across six months of learning.

CBExchange is an annual conference hosted by C-BEN. It is the foremost conference on CBE, where leaders from hundreds of institutions gather to learn how to build and bring to scale high-quality programs.

Webinar: The Evolving Role of Faculty in CBE Programs: Considerations for Research

This webinar, will explore the faculty role in CBE programs, digging into how that role has evolved over time and may continue to do so especially with increased attention to online learning. Special attention will be given to the role research has to play in understanding and informing the faculty experience in CBE programs. Presenters will include Brooks Doherty, Assistant Vice President of Academic Innovation at Rasmussen University, George Swindell, Assistant Professional Faculty at Texas A&M University-Commerce, and Michelle Navarre Cleary, Associate Provost for Learning at College Unbound.

A week-long workshop that explores what CBE is and how to build engaging CBE pathways for our students. This is a great opportunity to collaborate and learn from each other.

Competency-based Education Faculty and Administrator Institute: Theory and Frameworks

The Theory and Frameworks of Competency-based Education (CBE) is one of three successive institutes.  The institutes will provide participants introductory, intermediate, and advanced knowledge and skills necessary to develop a CBE Pathway at their respective institutions. This is a free event. 
The first institute was held in June. Information regarding the second event will be added when available.

State of CBE 2020

The “State of CBE” symposium is being organized to help grow CBE programs and academic awareness about the growing field of CBE and its instructional methodologies. All Texas CBE programs will be encouraged to discuss their programs, their strengths, weaknesses, areas of concern, and opportunities for growth.

In response to COVID-19 we are rescheduling this event. We look forward to seeing you all when the time is safe to regroup. Details will be posted when available.
